'Take The Hand Of Hope Once Again' Kathi Pelton

“So because our hope is set on what is yet to be seen, we patiently keep on waiting for its fulfillment.” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭25‬ ‭

Faith and hope are not In what we can see or what has come to pass but in what we cannot see and is “yet to be seen.”

Many times in the life of those who follow the Lord, the Holy Spirit will speak to us a promise or he will begin to lead us in a direction that only faith and hope can follow. We then begin to move forward into that hope as we trust him to guide us and to order our steps in the way we should go.

We don’t always know or understand the individual steps we are asked to take— but faith, hope and trust give us the courage to move toward the fulfillment of the promise that he has given us. The steps take us on a journey with God that is full of adventure, mystery and wonder.

These journeys often require patience because we are partnered with his perfect timing which is rarely our timing. But the process of patience produces endurance, character and a greater hope and trust in Christ.

I have personally walked more journeys of faith and hope than I ever thought possible but the journey and the fulfillment of each promise have caused me to gain a testimony of God’s faithfulness that carries me through the next journey that life brings. Some journeys of hope have taken months and some decades but I have found that “hope does not disappoint” when our ultimate hope is in walking with God. Every day of every journey is a day to learn, to grow and to overcome the demand of “seen evidence.”

The Spirit within us, who gives us hope,is the evidence of God with us— God leading us and God walking with us.

Sometimes it is through valleys of trouble (sufferings) and other times on mountaintops of joy— but whether it is in the valley or upon a mountain we have the honor and privilege to experience a life that displays “God with us.”

It’s not always about the outcome (as most of us think), it is more importantly about the journey. Just like in marriage; the journey of walking through every season of life together is what creates unity and depth of love abd commitment. If couples only focused on the moments of a desire fulfilled, the times in between would be void of purpose and meaningful moments.

Hope and patience walk hand in hand— through the valleys, climbing the mountains, resting in green pastures, drinking from streams in the desert and finally eating the fruit of a promise fulfilled.

Brush off the demand of your soul that only wants the fulfillment of a desire but is willing to miss the journey to get there. There is beauty in the process and in the hope. Take the hand of hope and walk patiently down the road of faith that leads you to the most beautiful places. The journey is your testimony— not merely the outcome.

“Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen. This testimony of faith is what previous generations were commended for. Faith empowers us to see that the universe was created and beautifully coordinated by the power of God’s words! He spoke and the invisible realm gave birth to all that is seen.” Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭TPT
