Mothers Day Where It Started..
Mother's Day in the USA originated with Anna Jarvis in 1908, as a way to honor her mother, Ann Reeve Jarvis, who had died on the second Sunday of May. Jarvis organized a Mother's Day celebration at a Methodist church in West Virginia and later spearheaded a movement to make it a national holiday, which President Woodrow Wilson officially proclaimed in 1914.Â
